EXPLORE "BEGA" FALLS Bega Falls is in Barangay Mabuhay in Prosperidad, the provincial capital of Agusan del Sur, Philippines. According to legend, a lovely diwata (fairy) seduces men and leads them to the falls. Those who had been seduced by the diwata were never seen again.  Do you wonder why is it called Bega?  The falls are named from the Visayan word biga, which translates to "to flirt" in English. Whether or whether the mythology is genuine, everyone who sees these falls will be enchanted by their splendor.
